Each session will cover:

  • A discussion of how each topic plays out in everyday life, including implicit bias, privilege, etc.
  • Concrete ways to “undo” sexism/classism/racism in our everyday lives and as leaders
  • Discussion of how to proactively open your group to diverse communities and ways to be an agent of change

Dimensions of –isms Speakers:

  • Sunny Matthews: Sunny is a University of Akron School of Law graduate who focused civil liberties. She earned her bachelors from Guilford College majoring in Political Science, Philosophy, and African American Studies. 
  • Ginger Bakos: Ginger is a writer, speaker, coach and student of ministry in the Northeast Ohio School of Ministry. Ginger worked at ProGroup diversity consulting early in her career life, which gave her a solid foundation in how unconscious bias plays out in day to day life and especially in the workplace.
